Our cups runneth over, because the folks at Mentor Graphics have a bunch of webinars headed our way that are of interest to designers in the Chip, Board, Embedded, and Mobile domains ... to name but a few!
I have just been inundated by a barrage of emails from the chaps and chappesses at Mentor informing me of upcoming webinars covering a positive plethora of tempting topics. A brief summary in order of appearance is as follows:
Maximize Freescale PowerQUICC and QorIQ based Designs using Mentor Graphics Android solutions
When: Thursday, October 29, 10:00am - 11:00am US/Central
What: Discover the advantage of working with Mentor's Android products including performance optimization, real native C/C++ code integration, and a complete integrated developer workflow. The Mentor Graphics Development System for Android is the first and only Android software stack for processors built on Power Architecture® technology.

Power Integrity Analysis in the PADS Flow Web Seminar
When: Nov 3, 2009, 12:00 PM - 12:45 PM US/Eastern
What: In this webinar, you will learn about simulating Power Integrity in the PADS flow. This includes looking at power planes and stitching vias to ensure minimal DC voltage drop and current density, as well as looking at the AC effects of decoupling capacitors, VRMs, power planes, and board stackup.

Mobile Chip Design Using High-Level Synthesis Web Seminar
When: Nov 3, 2009, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM US/Pacific
What: Hardware for mobile devices has some of the most intricate design constraints of any ASIC development flow. The hardware runs at relatively slow performance, but is constrained by tight area and power requirements. Design cycles are often less than a year, requiring tradeoffs to be made quickly without exploring all the possible solutions. Hidden away in most of the mobile devices manufactured this year you'll find hardware built using high-level synthesis (HLS.) Usually it is focused on the wireless modem, and sometimes in the custom hardware for video and audio processing. We will discuss how HLS has been used successfully in mobile devices based on real-world experience. This will include best practices and the key technologies that make HLS a reality in mobile device design.

Single User Interface for the Entire Embedded Development Cycle
When: Wednesday, November 4, 1:00pm - 2:00pm US/Central
What: One of the more common problems facing embedded developers today is finding a tool suite that covers the entire software\firmware development cycle. The EDGE Developer Suite addresses this problem. The EDGE Developer Suite provides a single user interface that takes users through each step of the application development flow. Familiar tools and interfaces allow users to get started faster and build their application with added functionality. The suite supports all popular compilers along with several CPU architectures for an out-of-the-box experience on several targets. The EDGE Developer Suite is based on the popular Eclipse open source software framework.
