The folks at Zyxio – specialists in next-generation Human-Media Interaction who describe themselves as creating organic, intuitive, interaction technology – have just debuted their patented SensaWaft blowing interaction technology via a contest called 'Be a Mind Blower', and they want our help in picking the winning application.

It seems that the guys and gals at Zyxio have been working in stealth mode to develop a breakthrough technology called SensaWaft, which is now patented around the world. The SensaWaft intelligent sensor (MEMS) turns gentle puffs of breath into input signals that can be used by platforms such as PCs, game consoles, smartphones, or virtually any other digital platform via USB or Bluetooth.

Mind-blowing technology

The company invited the tech community at large to unleash its creativity and submit ideas for applications using its breath powered microchip and is today announcing the top 25 concepts from which the five winners will be selected.

Individuals from around the world have submitted a variety of incredible application concepts inspired by the tremendous possibilities associated with SensaWaft. Ideas range from flicking through digital pages, enhancing immersion in virtual worlds to creating new artistic expressions or improving health and well-being.

The top 25 Mind Blowers are now promoting their ideas in hopes of making it to the finals. The public's votes will ultimately determine the five winners. Participants in the voting process are eligible to win Samsung Go netbooks and Android Smartphones through a random drawing.

The Be A Mind Blower contest runs through December 18, 2009 at 11.59 p.m. PST. To see videos  and descriptions and rate the 25 Mind Blowing ideas, visit www.beamindblower.com.

The five Mind Blowers who receive the most votes will sit on the Mind Blowing Advisory Board for a six-month period and assist with the development of the new products inspired by their ideas. They will also receive $6,000 and an all-expense-paid trip to Las Vegas.
