Well, that's a bit of a swizz! I just received an email from the guys and gals at Actel with the title 'Actel Space Forum Lands in Israel.' Call me old-fashioned if you will, but I assumed this was going to be late-breaking news about a forthcoming event, so I eagerly opened the email to discover...
...that it's all over. The fat lady is singing and the thin man is squeaking (as it were). So the bottom line is that the folks at Actel successfully held their Actel Space Forum (ASF) in Israel. Attendees of the one-day event heard in-depth technical presentations from members of Actel's executive management and engineering teams.

The presentations discussed contemporary topics relevant to using Actel FPGAs in space-flight applications. During this interactive event, designers gained knowledge and an understanding of how to optimize space applications using Actel FPGAs for high-reliability, high-performance, and low-power applications.
Two of the things I'm really interested in are FPGAs and Spaceflight, so I wish I'd been able to attend. But I did get to use the cool Actel graphic shown above, so all is not a complete loss (I'm easily diverted and amused).
