Test Framework For HIL Simulation

This topic deals with the various Test Framework software available widely used for Hardware-in-loop simulation for Automotive and Aerospace domain. the criteria for selecting the HIL hardware.Â
As per the ECU development life cycle the software or the design phase is independent of the hardware then during the implementation phase the hardware is used. Present day scenario there are software (Test Framwork)  which gives the option of getting different design or language(C/C++.FORTRAN or modelling tools like Simulink...) on a common platform where we do the analysis and perform SIL(Software -in-loop) simulation. The framework gives the option of connecting it to User front end creating GUI  and also for plotting .The test framework also gives the flexibility of connecting to different HIL system or racks for different modules where it can be integrated at later stage. The test framework provides the perfect environment for Cosimulation and data visualization in real time. There are many test framework available some are freeware which can be fine tuned and readily available API's(application programming interface) which can be used for interfacing with the HIL hardware and some of the commercially available test frameworks software like ADvantage framework from ADI , IPG .......Â
