The old saying is what goes up must come down. For one manufacturer, they would really like to keep what goes up, up. Or at least, when it comes down it's under control.

Green Hills Software, Inc. the largest independent vendor of embedded software solutions announced that Otis Elevator Company, the world’s largest company in the manufacture, installation, and service of elevators, escalators, and moving walkways, is using Green Hills Software’s MULTI® integrated development environment (IDE) in its elevator and escalator control systems.

 

Key criteria for Otis’ choice of Green Hills Software were the Green Hills compiler’s generation of the fastest and smallest code, the productivity enabled by the MULTI integrated development environment, and Green Hills Software’s flexible business model. Otis has deployed the Green Hills MULTI for processors in its elevators and escalators.
