Europe’s first sub-GHz 802.15/ZigBee module also supports China’s operating frequencies, features a built-in U.FL antenna.
Adaptive Network Solutions has unveiled its new Sub-1 GHz IEEE 802.15.4/ZigBee RF module at the Embedded World 2010 in Nuremberg, Germany. The new ultra-sensitive @ANY900-2 module is designed to operate in the ISM bands 915 MHz in the US, 868 MHz in Europe and 783 MHz in China. This Sub-1 GHz ZigBee module features a built-in U.FL antenna connector that enables rapid design-in, using a different external antenna for every application and thus providing greater flexibility for the developers. The range and battery life offered by these modules makes them an ideal candidate for building automation, smart home control, or any other Smart Grid or energy management application.
The tiny @ANY900-2 module features an exceptional receiving sensitivity of -110 dBm and an optimal output power level, resulting in an extended operating range and very low power consumption. Containing all the digital and analog circuitry, @ANY900-2 RF module presents a fully integrated solution for the developers and eliminates the need for in-house RF expertise. @ANY900-2 module is designed to work with various wireless sensing and control applications, using IEEE 802.15.4-based standards, such as ZigBee® and 6LoWPAN. The Sub-1 GHz RF module is ideal for smart metering, energy management, building and industrial automation and other application areas, requiring high RF performance.
@ANY900-2 is based on the industry-leading AVR Z-Link platform from Atmel. The new module is fully interchangeable with other @ANY RF modules for Sub-1 GHz and 2.4 GHz bands.
