Tektronix launches online community for oscilloscope users (free scope)

I just got a rather interesting email from the guys and gals at Tektronix who excitedly inform me that they've just launched something they call Scope Central – the "Go-To Community for Oscilloscope Users", which after all includes most practicing engineers at one time or another.

Scope Central is claimed to be the "go-to location" for the latest technical notes, webinars, and tutorial videos. But it's much more than a traditional resource library – the folks at Tektronix say that it’s a "True Online Community".

They boast that they've taken 60 years of experience and channeled it into the latest resources at Scope Central, where you can chat live with technical experts, see "how-to" videos, and "visit the scope guru" (you must admit this last option sounds rather cool ... but what should one wear while visiting a scope guru, I wonder ... and will beer be served?).

But we digress... the folks at Tektronix say that if we visit Scope Central we can interact with our peers who are confronting the same measurement challenges we're facing, from debug to R&D. We can connect directly with Tektronix Technical Experts for on-the-spot insights through live chat or visit the Scope Guru to get answers to questions that are baffling us. We can access the resources we need to stay ahead, and we can enter our drawing to win an oscilloscope (they are giving one away each month).

I don’t know about you, but I for one could really do with a new scope, so just bounced over there, signed up, and entered the drawing. Apparently you can click the "Enter" button once a day, so that's what I'm going to do (this month's scope looks MEGA-COOL ... I want it!!!) ... see you there!

Glad you found our new online community (or that we found you via one of our emails!). Oh, if only we could serve beer...

Our goal with Scope Central is to deliver test and measurement information, and be the source of all things oscilloscope-related. We welcome any suggestions of content, functionality--things that would make you return and visit often.

I appreciate the mention and hope to see you back at Scope Central (where there absolutely is no dress code).
