Ember goes big with 10 million ZigBee chips Hot

ZigBee smart meter application

I just heard from the team at Ember. They are pretty excited about having shipped their 10 millionth ZigBee chip. They tell me they are the first company to do it. According to Ember, "This milestone is reflected in the company’s record revenues and sales bookings, making Ember well positioned for almost 300% annual revenue growth in 2010." Nice.

Ember credits its high volume with growth in the smart energy markets, as well as smart home products such as in-home energy management or security.  The company designs and manufactures chips as well as ZigBee protocol software and tools.
