ADI releases low-power prescalers for RF

Complementing ADI’s industry-leading PLL synthesizers, the ADF500x RF prescaler circuits operate up to 18 GHz with very low power consumption.
Analog Devices, Inc. has announced the ADF500x RF prescalers for dividing frequencies as high as 18 GHz to a lower frequency suitable for input into a PLL IC.
Getting right to it, here are some key specs:
- Divide by 2, 4 or 8 options
- Integrated RF de-coupling capacitors
- Power consumption: active mode at 30 mA and power down mode at 7 mA
- Phase noise at -150 dBc/Hz
- Single DC supply that is +3V compatible with ADI’s extensive offering of PLLs
