Pneumatics teams with hydraulics to boost small turbine power

Now that we have your attention, what this young lady is illustrating by holding jugs of water and air is the principle behind the patent-pending Buoyancy-Assisted Turbine, a small "waterwheel" that uses buoyancy to theoretically double the power extraction of previous machines.
You can read more about it from Max Maxfield who broke the story in his blog.
My guess it that efficiency will be boosted, but emptying and filling imperfections etc, will cause the output to be less than double. But the prototype should help fill in those blanks.
