OK, perhaps 'Storms' is a little strong – the folks at GateRocket are far too nice to storm anything – they are much more likely to politely introduce themselves before leaping into action and revolutionizing your ability to verify and debug your advanced FPGA designs.

Anyway, the folks in China should be delighted to hear that the guys and gals at GateRocket have signed an agreement with the chaps and chappesses at AcconSys, a major distributor of electronic design automation (EDA) products in China.  AcconSys will provide sales and support for GateRocket’s RocketDrive and RocketVision FPGA verification products throughout China.

As device complexity and size continue to escalate, design verification has emerged as the primary challenge in the development of leading-edge FPGAs. GateRocket offers what they refer to as a "Device Native" approach to the specific verification and debug challenges involved with the most advanced FPGAs from Xilinx and Altera. The focus of their solution is exclusively on FPGA design, and their RocketDrive and RocketVision products are said to cut FPGA simulation and lab debug time in half versus traditional approaches. This is accomplished by integrating the FPGA into the simulation environment through the RocketDrive product to enable a native execution of the design on the target FPGA device.  The accompanying RocketVision debugging tool provides new levels of visibility and patent-pending debug algorithms that enable engineers to quickly track down and correct sources of design errors. By combining the actual FPGA hardware and RTL simulation models in the same verification run, GateRocket slashes verification and lab debugging time.
