I just heard from the folks at LMS Recruiting, who specialize in Talent Acquisition for Sales – Marketing – Operations – Finance – Engineering – and Research & Development Roles for High-Technology, Bio-Technology, Medical Devices, Pharmaceutical, and Health Care Enterprises... (phew!)

Anyway, it seems that the LMS Recruiting is the exclusive retained firm sourcing two Manufacturing Process Engineers for an industry-leading manufacturer of high quality passive RF components utilized in commercial, military, and laboratory applications.  Their client has a critical need to hire two engineers who will provide materials and process engineering support for the manufacturing of passive RF and microwave devices in the following areas:

Manufacturing Process Engineer I

  • Electroless precious metal plating
  • Chemical etching and cleaning
  • Resistance spot welding
  • Final product packaging
  • Scribing and dicing
  • Electrolytic plating
  • Soldering

Manufacturing Process Engineer II

  • Thin film deposition: – Sputtering – Evaporation – Pyrolytic Carbon
  • Thick film screen printing
  • High temperature firing
  • Laser trimming of thick and thin film resistors

They say their client is a well-established profitable business with an excellent record of accomplishments.  Also that a collaborative work environment, competitive compensation, excellent benefits, and industry-recognized leadership are all hallmarks of their client’s enterprise.

The newly created roles for the Manufacturing Process Engineers will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manger and provide critical contributions to manufacturing processes resulting in yield improvements and reduced cost to manufacture.  Experience selecting materials with specific mechanical, electrical, and chemical properties and previous success using Statistical Process Controls methods to reduce product variation are some of the key skills they are searching for in qualified candidates. Their client is committed to Lean Manufacturing activities and desires these skills in candidates for these roles.

They also note that great opportunities like this are scarce in today’s market.  They recognize that career decisions are critical milestones in every professional journey, which is why they take the time to understand their candidates’ goals as part of their recruiting dialogue. They also say that they operate their business using industry best practices and treat all of their candidates with dignity and respect. They also note that, even though these positions may not have "your name written on them," your referral might be the catalyst that brings a colleague into a rewarding new career. So even if you aren't interested yourself, please take a few moments to think about any appropriate engineers you know and forward this information to them.
