Possibly you saw a US Senator's credits for OnStar.
I personally am cautiously optimist. I think V-2-V and I-2-V communications are here and to increase. Question is would it lead to tower of babel scenario ? My hope it is minor ones and NOT major ones. :)

My concern is related to safety. How do you stop unauthorized access to these capabilities. In the past people have sold devices to utilize the ability to set traffic signals to green intended for use by emergency services. How long before someone sells a devise to manipulate another persons car. Makes me not want to own a car with OnStar!!
