SR. STAFF ENGINEER - RF/Analog Design
Overview
Under general supervision, responsible for directing and coordinating all activities necessary to complete a major engineering project.
Primary Position Responsibilities
• Perform applied research, development and design of new products; work includes complex board level design, fabrication, modification and evaluation of electronic apparatus, components or circuitry for use in electronic equipment and devices.
• Work includes complex design, fabrication, modification and evaluation of electronic apparatus, components, or circuitry for use in electronic equipment and devises.
• Work with Engineering Manager to respond to requirements and turn customer requests into proposals and eventually into delivered systems that meets requirements.
• Create system functionality and design specifications including block diagrams, control strategies and algorithms.
• Specify, design, develop, test, and integrate RF/Analog circuitry
• Analyze and simulate the performance of designs.
• Review system level specifications for critical design characteristics.
• Coordinates the layout, assembly and testing of the prototype assemblies.
• Evaluate and characterize prototype units
• Design documentation and assists in the transfer of information for preparation of technical publications.
• Propose and implement solutions to correct problems, reduce costs, and improve performance with the existing instruments.
Essential Job Requirements
• 10 years experience with board level analog circuit design with strong emphasis with RF, especially in high speed and high resolution mixed-signal circuitry, such as PLLs, A/Ds, D/As, and Filters, etc.
• BSEE is required; MSEE is preferred, or equivalent.
• Experience in development of instruments for Test and Measurement industry, such as Microwave Signal Generator, Spectrum Analyzers and Microwave Power Meters will be a plus.
