I got a note from the team at Texas Instruments (TI) today telling me about how TI and GetFugu has invested in the University of Texas (fitting) at Dallas' MobileLab research group. The group works to advance futuristic mobile apps using human/device interfaces (HDI) technologies.

Electronic Product Design or RPG? Playing the game... Today, with much anticipation I watched the teaser trailer for the auspicious Starcraft II, a game in development at Blizzard Entertainment. It's been about 9 years since I last played it's predecessor, Starcraft: Broodwars (hmmm, I've been married for about that long, too!) So I was pleased to find some guidelines put out by the government on how to use plain language. This is the story of Little Red Riding Hood as rewritten by the government in an exercise to display to people how not to write English.

This is seriously cool – I am very excited. Actually, I'm tremendously excited about all sorts of innovations that are taking place in programmable logic space ("where no one can hear you scream"). As far as I'm concerned, the programmable logic domain (FPGAs and related devices) is absolutely the place to discover the coolest technology going.
